Early 1900’s reproduction of an 18th century style painting. Portrait is of Queen Henrietta Maria and her dwarf Sir Jeffrey Hudson. She was Queen of England, Scotland and Ireland. She was wife to King Charles the first and was known as the Queen who shaped England. Jeffrey Hudson was born to a poor family and gifted to the Queen by a duke. They became very close and he was well known for his intellect and wit. Many poems and narratives were written about him during his time. This painting measures 18”Hx16”Wx3”D
