Antique majolica platter; Asian-inspired fan and bird pattern.

This platter appears to be late 19th or early 20th century English or American majolica. Possibly Fielding but no marks. 14” long, it has no cracks or chips, only characteristic crazing throughout glaze and some darkening in lighter areas. It’s a fine example of the influence of Asia on Victorian decorative arts with a pattern that includes a fan, bird, bamboo, and the period’s love of ribbons. Similar examples are being offered for over $200.
