what's wrong with the inside? what type of re-doing?

@sacr247 it looks to me like the tin has worn off from age. I’m not an expert on copper cookware, but it looks old? I might be able to get a better image of the inside tomorrow outside.

@sideshowbee I'm not either, but I just read that it's best to get the tin re-done of intended to be used. thanks for the quick response! it's just so darn cool

@sacr247 I priced the retinning online. A teapot is $30-$110. Retinned, and it's suitable for another 75 years! My grandmother purchased it in Germany in the 1940s’.
