Antique Vintage HandWoven Coiled Traditional Zulu South African Basket 18.5”

My mother, born in 1942, as an RN did mission work across the United States and the World for the better part of her career and all of her retirement. Often times as appreciation, the people she would help would give her one of their most prized possession from a lovingly prepared bowl of roasted termites to a bottle of gin to a carefully crafted possession. This basket was always one of my favorites, and it always sat on her dining room table. I hate to sell it, but I no longer have the space to showcase this incredibly special treasure.
