Antique Vintage GERMAN C.P. GOERZ BERLIN TREIDER 6X Binoculars

Good-fair vintage condition. Antique VINTAGE CP GOERZ BERLIN TRIEDER 6X BINOCULARS CIRCA EARLY 1900s PRE-WW1. 6-power, prism, Trieder series binoculars, made by C.P. Goerz of Berlin. The Trieder series with a rack & pinion focus mechanism in 3X, 6X, 9X, and 12X were the first prism binoculars made by Goerz & were manufactured from 1897 – 1911. Some Trieder series binoculars such as this one employed rack & pinion central focus mechanism and IPD adjustment which although unique was discontinued in subsequent models in favor of the more practical hinge design. Triangular barrels have rounded edges & are covered with original leather. The eye end of the left prism housing is marked “C. P. GOERZ BERLIN.” The one on the right is marked “TRIEDER” and “BINOCLE”. "6X" and "GERMANY" is stamped on the bridge connecting the barrels of eyepiece. Still works perfectly!
