Antique Victorian darning egg with sterling silver handle

This antique Victorian darning egg has a hollow sterling silver handle with an elaborate design. The egg-shaped end is made of wood with a black finish. It shows wear where the paint has worn off from the darning needle. The tip of the handle has a small dent on one side ( 4th photo) This antique tool would be great addition to any sewing or other collection.
