Antique Victorian Propelling Pencil

Very special and RARE Victorian ‘mechanical’ pencil with amethyst color jewel end, possibly a real gemstone, as many were made with genuine amethyst, but I cannot verify that it is. Hexagonal shaft with 2 sliding rings. Gold-filled brass…items of this era were rarely hallmarked. Does not come with lead, but my research found that this size pc accepts slightly thinner than .9mm Pentel lead. Check out Legendary Lead Company.
