Antique Victorian Cameo Mourning Pendant

This unique item is an antique victorian mourning cameo pendant. It is made of gutta percha wood and measures 2 1/8” by 1 3/4”. This pendant dates to the turn of the century, circa 1900's.  The story goes that it belonged to a woman who wore it in rememberance of her mother.  This mother and daughter reportedly had a very strong bond and this cameo represents that bond.
