Gorgeous late Victorian or early Edwardian brooch featuring large oval amethyst framed by seed pearls and set in elaborate 14K yellow Gold base. Two tassels dangle down 8 strands gold chain. The Amethyst is 14 x 10.0mm. The tassel is 28mm long, 13mm wide. The brooch is 35 x 32mm, hanging length is 70mm or 2 3/4" long, weight 20.2gm, no hallmark and tested for 14K There is a personal message at the back is from father to daughter, a sentimental piece.
