*Updated* Rare sterling sterling antique necklace (that I believe to be Peruzzi) created sometime in the Victorian period between 1860-1910. The clasp says sterling and is very faint- you can tell there were other words but have worn off with age. It may have been gold tone at one point, because it has a faint gold tone tint. There are several interesting charms, the grotesque Roman masks on this long chain were used to scare away the bad spirits. Fleur de lis are a symbol of purity, strength, and leadership. The medieval horse was seen as an animal that symbolised wealth and status for the upper classes and nobility. I wish I knew the history of this piece and who wore it, it’s very magical and intriguing. The silver chain links are made of a flower like symbol and create this magnificent 42 inch chain. The total weight of the Sterling silver necklace is 1.5 ounces. Has been tested
