Rare Antique photo card of Piramel and Soorpromanian. Historical turn of the century circus acts. Old time freak show memorabilia. Perumal Sami (or Piramal) was born in Madras, India in 1888. He had a parasitic twin brother growing out of his chest. For the sake of showmanship, the poor half-creature was represented as Piramel’s sister and dressed in the clothes of a small girl, and the “two” of them were called Piramel AND Sami. He entered show business at a young age, appearing with his cousin the Indian dwarf Soopromanien Munsamy. He toured the United States briefly with the Ringling Bros. circus and retired to India in 1915. The back of the card is blank. The card looks old and worn with some discoloration but is in good sturdy condition otherwise. Measures 6-1/2" tall by 4-1/4" inches wide.
