Antique Ostby Barton Solid 10K Rosy Yellow Gold Signet Ring, Size 5 3/4 5.75 / Foliate Scrollwork Shoulders / Monogram Letter Initial JB Pretty antique gold signet ring, with embossed foliate and scrollwork details on the shoulders. The high points of the shoulders are shiny while the recessed areas are textured. This ring features an oval shaped face with a beautiful cursive monogram that appears to be "JB" (or may possibly also be "IB"). This ring is stamped "OB 10K" (for the maker, Ostby Barton) and made of solid 10k yellow gold, circa 1910. The gold has a lovely warm tone, it is more rosy yellow in color compared to modern yellow gold. Very good antique condition. The beautiful shoulder designs are crisp and well preserved. Light scratches to the gold, expected of age and normal use. There is also a faint solder seam visible under a loupe on the back of the band from an old resize, not noticeable when worn.
