Antique Modernist Ivory Necklace

If this were a painting, it’d be a Picasso. A cascade of carved shapes of all sizes tumbles down the long length of this opera length necklace. Highly unusual, I suspect it’s an end-of-day piece, where all the little scraps that were not going to be used got gathered together and this fantastical creation was born. True Vintage, crafted some time before the 50s, appropriate condition for the years. Strung on heavy cotton, made to last, well worn. Could be easily washed if desired, but there is no real need. Schreger lines are visible on close inspection. About 33-34 inches, a true measure is hard with this piece.
