Handsome American Federalist Period Framed Mirror, circa 1820. Handmade wood frame, I think maybe stained quartered cherry, with contrast black enamel and soft gold-tone decorative inner frame-in-frame with a repeating chain pattern. Substantial width & thickness; deep-set frame, almost shadow box style. Mirror has zero distortion. Silvering is in almost perfect condition. Although antique, its clean lines and style blend beautifully with contemporary and eclectic decor.
