Appears to be unused. Rare vintage bag made in Italy with beautiful medieval/renaissance tapestry scenes of a knight and a lady. Beautifully and intricately made and in excellent condition. Bag has shiny goldtone hardware, tapestry embroidery, woven metallic yarn, silk lining with interior pocket, goldtone chain handle, and kisslock clasp closure. The chain slides through the loops and can be used doubled as a handheld bag, or single as a shoulder bag. For a historical era use, can be hung on a belt using the chain. I believe this is a Walborg from the 1940s. Hilde Walborg Weinberg founded Walborg Co in the 40s. She designed the bags and they became very popular in the 40s and 50s. Italian artisans were known for making high quality bags.
