The metal is pot metal coated with a finish that the company called "French grey silver" although there's no actual silver in it Lined with blue velvet MARKING: “Trademark J.B. Signifies The Best” 5” x 4” 4” Good antique condition, with some oxidation. The hinge is partially detached . I inherited this from a family member.
