Antique Jade Green Chinese Water Bucket/Rice Bucket.

Very cool antique Chinese Water Bucket/Rice Bucket. Approximately 110 years old. At some point this piece was painted jade green but I’m not sure when as I’ve had it many years. However, what a great color. This piece was brought back from China and it was green when I bought it. I actually purchased it because of the green color. It really pops in a room. Piece has one crack across the lid which is not inconsistent for it’s age. Removable lid with carved handle. There is a wood tan pin that flips up so that the notched lid can be removed. The piece has thin metal banding around the body of the bucket. It has not been altered in any way since I purchased it. It does show the appropriate signs of wear for it’s age but is in great condition. 4 small notched feet on bottom. This piece is wood so it will have some small notches or dings but paint is in very good condition. This is also called a Chinese Tea box. This is an incredibly low priced for this piece, especially for it’s age.
