Antique Handmade Brazilian Bahia Cloth Folk Art Doll in Original Attire

Wonderful example of old folk art Bahia doll adorned with foil jewelry shaped into many forms. with dark skin, firmly stuffed face,hands and anatomy showing great detail her face features are embroidered with cotton floss, has long separated fingers,plump bottom and shapely legs. Made in the likeness of a candomble-practicing women. She is in the original clothing,consisting of a cotton laced bodice,Shaw,and long decorated skirt with a half eyelet and lace trimmed skirt and her feet are adorned in stitched on slippers with foil decor. In great condition for her age no rips,tears that I have found other than the dangling part of the earring is missing on her right ear and there is string on her head where I believe was once a woven basket for carrying fruits and vegetables.
