Antique German Children's Tea Set - Knowles Taylor And Knowles Nursery Rhymes

This antique Knowles Taylor and Knowles German Nursery Rhymes children’s tea set is a delightful addition to any vintage toy collection. This tea set is dated to the 1880s. The set features charming illustrations from Nursery Rhymes and was made by Knowles Taylor and Knowles. The set includes 4 saucers that illustrates “THIS IS THE MAIDEN ALL FORLORN” and “THIS IS THE HOUSE THAT JACK BUILT” The saucers are in great antique condition with little gold rim wearing. They have no cracks or chips but does have crazing on one. All in all the designs are in great condition. Please see photos as they are part of the description. There are 4 tea cups that depict 3 different Nursery Rhyme characters one is the Priest from “PRIEST ALL SHAVEN AND SHORN” as well as the dog from “THIS IS THE DOG THAT KILLED THE CAT” and another that I am not sure who it is. The last one is the lidded sugar bowl that shows on one side the dog from “THIS IS THE DOG THAT KILLED THE CAT” and the other the Maiden from “THIS IS THE MAIDEN ALL FORLORN” This is an absolutely precious starter set with just a few more pieces needed to complete the set!!
