Antique Edwardian 14K Gold Diamond & Natural Pearl Pendant

Dating to either the late 1890s or early 1900s, may I offer this 14K Yellow Gold (tested, not marked) pendant that, at first, I thought was a repurposed piece from a stick pin. Only thing is, the center diamond moves back and forth and I don't think stick pins back in the old days were made with moveable stones. Okay, I may be wrong. Anyway, the bale finding that you see is a replacement for the original - you can see by the back of the piece that this is so. Set with a myriad of natural "slightly grey cream" seed pearls and, as I say, centered with a small 2.5mm (4 points) diamond (G-H color - I1-2 clarity), the small round measures about 1/2" high high/wide; the b ale adds another 3/16" of height. Weight of the piece is .9 grams. Condition, save for the repair, is very fine with no problems to the piece. All that's needed now is the right chain - mine is for display purposes only.
