Antique Depose-France Celluloid Hand Colored Silhouette Brooch

This is a charming antique Art Deco Depose France celluloid hand-colored silhouette brooch from the 1920s. Made in 2 layers, the carved celluloid depicts a courting couple. The celloid is mounted on a gold-filled rope frame. The trombone clasp is a little tricky but it does work and it holds well. To use a trombone clasp you gently slide the clasp out to open and push inwards to close. This is a beautiful example of celluloid silhouette jewelry. Truly a work of art.
