Antique Danish King Iron Art Bronzed Casket Trinket Chest Box Anno 1219

Bronze cigar casket box, or Trinkets , jewelry , made by Iron Works of Copenhagen. This bronze box has a famous depiction of the Battle of Lyndanisse during the northern crusades by the Danes. The interior of the box is wood lined. MORE DETAILS: Description Antique Iron Art Bronze Trinket Box. Copenhagen Denmark Battle of Estonia Ornate bronze box, hinged with side handles and wood lined interior. Stylized and scenes depicting the Danish King Daldemar's divinely inspired victory during the crusades, raised over bun feet, cast with Iron Art Copenhagen company logo. The back of the box is marked "Iron Arts Copenhagen Denmark" dating this piece to early 1900s. The interior of the lid has a brief description of the legend, in both Danish and English, under a banner reading "15.Juni Anno 1219 June 15th". Measures 7 3/4 Wide excluding side handles (approx 8 1/4" total), 3 1/2" High, 3 1/2" Deep Good pre owned condition with slight deep greenish patination. Weighs: 3Lbs 10oz
