Antique Cut Glass Decanter With Gorham Sterling Silver Stopper

For sale is a beautiful cut glass decanter with Gorham Sterling Silver Stopper. The decanter is American Brillant Cut Glass with alternating cut zippers and notches on the body. Beautiful cut diamonds and ovals on the handle which is topped by a flat thumb rest. The neck is also cut with zippers and the bottom shows a beautiful rayed pattern. The stopper is in great condition with leaves and floral design and initials monogrammed on the top. It is marked with Gorham marks, stamped Sterling and D 1662. The stopper has the number 13 etched on the tip to tie it to this particular decanter but I could not find a 13 on the decanter itself. Nonetheless, the stopper fits perfectly. The pieces are in excellent condition with no chips. I did not polish the stopper as some do not like the patina changed. The decanter with stopper is is about 9.5"H x 6.5"W at widest part and 4.5"D. Weight is approximately 2.75 lbs. I did not polish the stopper as some people like patina on sterling but it can be easily polished.
