Antique book from 1885 Climatology and the Mineral Waters of the United States by Agrippa Bell. An interesting old book about US climate and its effects on peoples' health. The previous owner has signed their name inside, F. Soper M.D. New York. I believe this to be Fred Lowe Soper, a noted 20th century epidemiologist. The bookseller stamp in the back cover is dated 1912. It would make sense as he studied diseases and this information would likely have been of interest to him. Book has wear and yellowing of pages consistent with age. 386 p.
