Antique Child's Alphabet Bowl and Cup Germany Gnomes

A whimsical alphabet bowl and cup! Incredible, unique hand painted depictions of gnomes are on the interior of the bowl. Two tiny gnomes are riding large winged insects, while below a pair of gnomes appear to either ward off or capture a bee! The alphabet rings the outside edge of the bowl in gold paint over raised letters. Excellent condition - no chips or cracks, There is some paint loss on the letters from age and use. The underside is stamped "Germany". The bowl is approximately 7 inches in diameter and 1.25 inches tall. The cup appears to be similar in age, but most likely belongs to a different set. It also has the alphabet in gold around the top outer rim, however the font is slightly different and the pictures do not match. Cup is also in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. There is something stamped on the bottom but I cannot make out what is says. Cup is approximately 2.5 inches tall and 2.5 inches in diameter.
