Bird is an Indian darter, Anhinga Melanogaster. Nearly threatened. Created March, 1799. This print is 225 years old!
Illustration drawn and engraved by Richard Polydore Nodder (1770-1800). Purchased 26 years ago from blue chip art gallery in NYC: Les Kafka. Has been stored in a temperature controlled room ever since.
