Antique Bird‎ Print RARE, hand colored engraving on paper, 6” x 9”, 1800

Indian Roller (Coracias benghalensis) dated October 1st 1800. This print is 224 years old! Hand colored copperplate engraving By Richard Nodder, from “The Naturalist’s Miscellany”by George Shaw and Frederick Nodder. I purchased this 26 years ago from blue Chip art gallery in New York City, Les Kafka. It has remained in a temperature controlled closet ever since.
