Small Antique Embroidered Beaded Purse ideal as a formal evening bag or as a wedding accessory. All hand stitched. Amazingly intact. Unlabeled, but these were typically made in France or Belgium. Circa 1920s. Features: + Intricate pattern comprised of tiny cream-colored micro or “seed beads” and taupe champagne pearls (faux) + Gold-Tone Frame with inset faux pearls + Gold-Tone Kiss Lock Closure and Chain Strap + Ivory lining with one interior pocket. SIZE: Measures 5 1/4” W by 4 1/4” H (frame of bag not including clasp or chain strap). Interior is about 4” x 4” (about a half inch wider at the base). Strap drop is just under 5 1/2”. CONDITION: This purse is in excellent vintage condition overall. Amazingly intact with no loose beads seen. It has a few signs of expected age-related wear to note. These include some wear on gold tone frame, bead loss (the tiny “pearls” inset into the frame — only on one side of the purse—see photo 7) and some gorgeous green oxidation where the little pearls are inset into the frame.
