A treasure for anyone’s desk, this antique blotter shows signs of age, scratches & discoloration as shown in pics. If you use as a blotter you’ll have to cut some blotter paper to fit. (Usually a green absorbent paper, sometimes white) Just rock it across your fresh writing to alleviate smears! 4 1/8” X 2” X 1 1/2” tall Signed J B 3116 The Jenning Brothers, 1891 - 1920’s, manufactured high quality, Art Nouveau, metal decorative items. All Jennings Brothers pieces were made of white metal or spelter, although they are often mistaken for bronze because of their high quality finishes, crafting and fine detail. To this day people still think they are brass or bronze! If you look close at the end where the (real) brass blotter plate slides in you can see a glint of silver.
