Antique Ansonia Figural Statue Mantle Shelf Clock Topper – Gilt Spelter Metal This antique Ansonia figural statue once adorned the top of a mantle clock in the early 1900s. Crafted from gilt spelter metal, it features a seated scholar engrossed in reading a scroll. While his hand holding the scroll has broken off, the detached piece will be included with the statue. The figure appears to have been originally mounted on a base. The gilt finish remains in good condition, with some areas of wear, as shown in the photos. Measuring approximately 6” tall x 5” wide, this piece makes a striking decorative accent for a Victorian-style home or an antique clock restoration project.
