Antique 1920s Hand Embroidered Blue White Silk Piano Shawl Macrame Fringe 56x56"

This stunning shawl is in excellent condition. Cantonese hand embroidered shawl from the 1920s. Also known as a manila shawl and used in Spain in Flamenco dancing. These are known as piano shawls as sometimes used to decorate a piano or sofas. This silk blue shawl is lovingly hand embroidered with white satin stitching with silk thread. The body of the scarf measures 36x36' with curved corners and hand sewn seams. The fringes measures an additional 18" total (making the total square scarf 56x56"). The edge of the shawl also features hand knotted macrame edging all around at about 7". This is such a beauty and exemplifies a time of true high quality craftsmanship. The silk fabric and silk fringe has a gorgeous drape and very stunning. 1st image on the mannequin has the shawl folded in 1/2. This is large and difficult to capture it's true beauty!
