Antiquarian (1850s) Kashmir-a Wool Thread Piano Shawl: Paisley, France

Most likely: loomed in France, however.., the splits make it appear this shawl could be handmade. If so, it would be much more valuable, but I am no expert and both methods were used at the time when our family acquired it in the 1850s. First 6 pics: frontside. Next 6 pics:backside. Last pic shows both. Fragile with many, many “simple splits”. lSimple split example: Pic#5, Challenge: #10 and # 11 (23” repair) Colors: teal, cinnamon, light mustard, black, ivory. Loving, patient seamstress can repair to double value.
