This was the perfect dress for our “cosmic southwest” desert boho elopement. It is elegant and understated, which meant I could go wild with my accessories :) I felt beautiful, supported, and incredibly comfortable, without having to wear any additional bra or shapewear. It has a built-in power-stretch bustier with soft cups and boning for a lovely shape (you can see the zip-closure bustier layer in the mannequin pics, but it doesn’t actually show like this with the dress on), which all stayed firmly in place—at no point did I have to hike it up or adjust the girls :) The bodice fits and the natural waist and had a concealed hook-and-eye closure on the outer layer. Including the creamy-white silk top layer with subtle star embroidery, the skirt has five (!!!) soft layers that provide fullness and movement without needing an additional underskirt. The only alterations I made were hemming the skirt to just kiss the ground, as pictured (I’m 5’7” and was wearing 3/4” flats). The ruching and fabric texture were so flattering and also meant I didn’t have to worry about wrinkles. This dress comes with a dramatic, fully detachable black velvet sash, which could be lovely for a fall/winter wedding (you can add your own broach, as in the pictures from Anthropologie).
