Annapurna, the Bay area's oldest head shop! several years ago, I had the privilege to work at this landmark of a smoke shop. although retail is not my favorite type of job to say the least, annapurna was much more than your typical retail gig. it was a close-knit, wild and whimsical experience and everyday you could count on the unpredictable to occur. it exposed me to some of my favorite music, world music, that I still listen to today. it was emerging of so many different cultures and was a pertinent part of Berkeley's Zeitgeist and attracted weirdos like me from all walks of life. this year is your 50th anniversary and I have been enlisted to help get Annapurna's presence online & I said posh would be a perfect start. here's a sneak preview of what's to come...
