Annalee Davis Thorndike, Soft Sculpture Art Doll, "Woman In Red." From The Museum Collection, c. 1997. Made in U.S.A.
Tall doll with a Mod style fabric dress, red felt coat with nice faux black fur trim. She has pale long blond yarn hair, hand painted features, a dark blue felt purse & strappy style, light blue, plastic high heel shoes.* Doll comes on a round wooden base with a small metal emblem (see pic). Felt on base bottom.* Tags are still attached, as shown. Fabric Annalee label is sewn into coat at collar back, '97.* Coat is non-removable, as is the purse.
SIZE: Large doll is approx. 13" high, on doll stand approx. 14" high.
Nice fabric used for the doll dress, coat & purse. Hair is in good condition. Light wear only. Has original box with shows signs of shelf wear. Comes with plastic Annalee bag. The Museum Collection #9751 "Woman in Red" 13" tall.
Comes with the original box, tissue, certificate of authenticity. COA identifies her as Woman With Red Felt Coat, made in 1997, a reproduction of a doll originally made in 1959 by Annalee Davis Thorndike.
