It is named after the Ancient Greek goddess of the Moon. Figurine are made of the natural stone mined in the Ural Mountains (Russia) formed more than more 200 million years ago, they are a treasury of various minerals and jewels. Turned from solid stone in Soviet Union (Russia) in 1970s. Excellent quality and great condition. Technique & Material: Quality figurine, handmade and polished from the natural solid stone. Hand painted. To the touch Selenite is silky and warm. Chemical formula: CaSO4·2H2O. Hardness 2,0 on a scale of Moos.
