redhaircowgurl @pepper2luv. hi, yes it's really a very versatile bag .As it is right now it works as crossbody and at my hip . strap is at its shortest 45 " .The strap can go longer as well or if you are short you always could add a hole or two with a hole punch to make the strap shorter .
