Amber color ring in Silver metal

This ring came to me with a group of jewelry sold at a yard sale. The stone is a pretty Amber color in a marquise shape, set in 10K? gold over Sterling Silver?. Some of the gold appears to have rubbed off. I don't know enough about the ring to say anything for sure, but what I can see of the stamp indicates it's 10k ? over Sterling or an alloy.
