I’ve been collecting for about the same amount of time, just haven’t gone any further then “the search” but plan to for sure.
COOL story; I was trying to sell a “sapphire” gem stone, but it wasn’t til someone bought it, from my shop, & then, went to get Posh authenticated, only later finding out it actually tested as, “dark blue emerald”. Nothing compares to the quality/color of it!

@soul_embellish lol been there! I’m sure you have heard of the infamous “1943 copper penny”? I found after a very longggg search all three! 1943p, 1943s, and 1943d all in copper!!! They passed the magnet test weighed exactly 3.11 grams I thought I hit the jackpot an instantly sent them with my three 1943 (s,d,p) steel Pennie’s to get graded an placed into a 6 slot holder. Only to find out the three copper were not genuine!!!! 😖

I’ve been debating whether or not to send it out, the thought of something happening to it, in the process, has made me put it on the back burner. . .It scares me but you’re right
