katiedidit @sterlinglife3 what can you tell me about the turq? How can you tell it is not dyed regular turq? I have a bracelet with this same stone in it & just assumed it was dyed? Thanks->^^<

sterlinglife3 You really can't tell! I got this as a large, raw, uncut stone! Cut it myself, shaved it, and polished it! So I know! But there are some pieces that aren't real in their color, they are enhanced. To find out you would have to take it to a jeweler, or Gemologist. They would have to scratch the colored part of the stone out, or at least fragments of it, and see if it stained the test strip! Real Colored stone, won't stain because of the way it naturally turned that color. Infused with heat, cold, or certain elements over an extremely long period making it permanent and un- changeable.

katiedidit @sterlinglife3 HA! It has not made it into my closet yet! I have over 500 pieces to photo & post before I get to the costume stuff..... I will pull through the box & dig it out as soon as I finish a piece for the brides gift for Saturday's wedding. I am SO far behind that I can SEE myself ahead & I got my pinkie caught in a friends car trunk Sunday afternoon so I am working with only 1 'paw'. Ever try to solder with 1 hand? Don't try-don't work at all!! You can't even DRESS with 1 hand. >^^<
