Amazing 60s Patchwork Quilt Cape / Groovy Boho Poncho Coat / Psychedelic Hippie

Presenting a one-of-a-kind, handmade patchwork poncho from the 1960s. This amazing work of art is crafted from individual scraps of colorful vintage fabric in all kinds of colors and patterns that have been lovingly sewn together as a patchwork quilt in the form of a cape/poncho. The cape has a red polyester collar and a row of big buttons with corresponding yellow polyester bows to secure the cape in the front. Unfortunately, one of the oversized buttons is missing and the yellow bows are not sewn down to the cape. I’m sure the bows could easily be tacked down with a stitch or two 🪡🧵and a similar retro button can be found by the buyer to replace the missing one. Lined with a lightweight fabric (maybe rayon?). The poncho has two discreet slits at front for your arms to fit through. No label present. Appears to be handmade. One-size-fits some. Missing one button. there are some occasional areas of wear such as small tears, little holes, and snags, to individual patches of fabric. One could add some decorative embroidery to fix these issues and really make this unique cape your own! 💗🧵🪡 The linining is in good shape with only minor unstitches in areas.
