Published in 1983-84 by Texas Tech Press. Amanda Goes West - Begins in 1938 when 14 year old Amanda leaves Tennessee to move to Texas with her family. Ends in 1843 with betrothal to Matthew. Amanda’s New Life - Begins in 1843, Amanda’s wedding and birth of 3 children. Ends in 1862 with Matthew fighting in Civil War. Amanda’s Home on the Range - Begins in 1862 with Matthew still in the war and their life after his return. Ends in 1890 with the marriage of their granddaughter. BRS
