I do not believe these are sterling - it is the silverplate pattern "Diana" manufactured by the Alvin Silver company. Please post a photo of the hallmark 'Sterling' on these tongs if these are in fact sterling.

@char7305 Yes they are a scratch test was done on them. Because of the age they aren’t marked sterling. The electroplated method was pioneered by this brand and it was done in only sterling silver.
