@thornswarehouse I found that its 40watt at 4ohm, 50 at 2ohm, but I can find nothing with total power at 4ohm or any ohm. do you have any paper work with it that says total out put at 4ohm? need something to get my speakers to get over the sound of the diesel engine. thank you

@mopar_guy The Alpine MRP-F250 provides 40 watts RMS per channel at 4 ohms, so the total output at 4 ohms across all four channels is 160 watts. If you use 2-ohm speakers, it gives 50 watts per channel, totaling 200 watts. This should help your speakers get loud enough to overpower your diesel engine noise!

@thornswarehouse JBL 4ohm 6x9's, 160watts would not be enough to get over the diesel. thanks for the fast reply..

@thornswarehouse 160watt RMS or 160 total music? Alpine I dont think since the first time I saw one back in the early 80s ever said what its total music wattage was

@mopar_guy You're right—Alpine typically focuses on RMS ratings rather than "total music power" or peak ratings. The 160 watts is the total RMS power, which is the most accurate measure of continuous power the amp can deliver. Peak or "music" power is usually higher, but RMS is what you want to rely on for consistent performance and sound quality.

@thornswarehouse I actually have a Hifonics ZUEZ series, but its OLD. its early 1990s model, plenty of power and then some, but the amp it self is huge, 15x12x2.2, it wont fit in the truck without being in the way, have a system in my car, parts of it go back to the 80s, amps, but it has newer JBL speakers, and a 37 year old 12in woofer. an old paper cone kicker comp. have a woofer for the truck, 6x9s already in, but the desk at 50watt max each, is not enough.
