@mimi716 I'm sorry I'm not a professional but I'll explain how I measured. I went on inside fullest part of busy area and got 34.5.
The waist I tried to do the same but measure narrowest part of dress and got 34"
But there is also a piece behind lace which is about 5" so there is some flexibility in the size due to the lace up back. I can try to get better information for you if needed.. I will update a couple photos of measurement. Thank you
