lmark_1 Hi there, I am not quite 4' 11". I love this beautiful gown to wear it at my daughter's wedding in Aug. My question to you is, do you think it's possible to have the dress hemmed 3 inches? By the way, I loved how you wrote up the detailed explanation with what type of accessories would compliment the gown. Also, what kind of shoes to wear that would look nice to wear with the dress. I just wanted you to know I thought you wrote up an excellent detailed description for this elegant gown! 💙

probabyl @lmark_1 Hi there! Sorry for the delay in getting back to you, it's been such a busy day. Thank you so much for your kind words, but I can't take all the credit, the description is mostly an amalgamation of info I found online to help. I personally would choose strappy silver heels to pair with it, though.

probabyl @lmark_1 As far as the length, it's definitely beyond my skillset lol, but I think it would be possible for a good sewist to take a few inches off. The rosettes attached to the lace overlay are relatively flat, and looking at the original hemline, some were cut for the dress to be originally made. I don't see any reason why someone with the right talent wouldn't be able to modify it. I hope that helps!

I'm not a good seamstress in the very least, so it certainly wouldn't be me!😅 I hadn't even gave it a thought about the roses needing to be cut as well. At least it's good to know that they were cut when making the dress, professionally. A size smaller would be difficult to fit around chest and waist. Thanks again for your reply. Lana
