The Nike Air Max 270 Bowfin ‘Triple Black’ debuted in October 2018 dressed in a black and Anthracite color palette. Inspired by the Bowfin fish that can breathe on land and in water, the sneaker is a hybrid between a trail shoe and water moccasin. The water-resistant textile and synthetic-leather upper adjusts with toggle laces, while the Max Air unit is Nike's largest to date at the time of release.
