Agate Dendrite Polished Free Form Palm Stone

Dendritic Agate is a variety of Chalcedony/Quartz, easily identified by its unique brown to black tree branch and fern-like markings know as “dendrites”. These inclusions are actually traces of manganese or iron that seep into the stone during its formation creating not only branch-like features, but also spotted or dark clusters. It is one of the rarer and more sought-after varieties of agate. This particular piece is smaller and intended to be held in the palm.
