South African Tribal (Zulu I think) bottle made from a tree seed pod fitted with an ebony neck nailed on with groups of 6 tiny silver nails in 3 places around the neck. The bottle is believed to have been used to carry herbs to ward off dangers to the wearer, has a wood stopper and hung from a garnet bead necklace with approximately 17” drop. The garnet beads are obviously hand drilled as the holes are not perfectly centered as noticed in photos adding to the charm of this unique 50 year old at least piece. Purchased about 1972 in a tribal settlement on the East Coast of South Africa. Definitely a conversation starter.
