🐻 Adorable Scrimshaw Kuala Bear 🧸

Home Decor - Hand etched oyster shell in the tradition of 19th century whaling scrimshaw. A one of a kind piece! Using a sharpened metal tool, I scratch short lines into the surface of the shell making the picture, then rub India Ink into the scratches to bring out the picture. Oyster shell is one of the hardest surfaces to use but very unique. This piece took 14 hours to complete.
